We are super excited to bring you November's Real Bride Trista!
Trista said yes to her dress with mom and sis on July 23, 2016. She actually made a custom change by adding an extra 10 inches to her train to give it that amazing effect!
How did you and Eddie meet?
"We first met at Lehigh University in Bethlehem in 2010. I was starting my freshman year and he was a senior. A mutual friend introduced us over lunch. We started spending more and more time together and the rest is history."
When did you know your husband was “the one”: "Eddie and I started off as friends first. We would be up late talking to each other about everything from class to our futures. So when we finally started dating, I already knew that he could be the one. I distinctly remember thinking after telling my best friend Eddie and I were dating that "This could be the man I marry." 6 years later I did marry him."
The proposal (from the brides point of view)!
"We were on our yearly vacation to the Caribbean, this time to Paradise Island, Bahamas. It was about half way through our trip and we took our after dinner walk to see the resorts sea turtles and hammerhead shark tank (yes they had real sharks!) We stopped on a platform overlooking the end of the island with its lighthouse shining and cruise ships leaving port. Eddie said to me he saw a bottle off the side of the platform and it looked like there was something in it. So I picked it up hesitantly thinking he meant there was a crab or spider or some other creature in it. Turns out when I emptied the bottle it was a letter. He has a hard time seeing in the dark so asked me to read it out loud. The message read: "A boy fell in love with a girl. He doesn't just stay with her by default as if there's no one else in the world. He stays with her because he chooses to, every day that he wakes up, even the days they argue or frustrate each other. He chooses her over and over again, and hopefully she chooses him too." I looked over to him with ring box in hand, He told me he chooses me every day over and over again, and asked if I would choose him. Of course I said yes! It was Paradise Island after all and the custom designed ring didn't hurt!"
Tune in next week as we talk about Trista saying yes to her dress!
