We are kicking off our first ever #christinasrealbride with the amazing Jennifer and Christopher. Their love story is beautiful...
How awesome is it that Jennifer and Christopher had met through their best friends? They had built a foundation through their friendship for years before he asked her to dinner!
Jennifer and Christopher's first date was "a wonderful relaxing dinner together with easy conversation." She shared what she admires most about her husband is that he is "a hard working and amazing father".
I asked Jennifer about one of the best dates she had with Christopher and she described the weekend they did their Pre Canna class. "We learned a lot about each other. After that we had an amazing dinner at the Bookstore in Bethlehem which is a speakeasy. The next day we had our engagement photo shoot done by a friend, Beth Ravier. We had a wonderful weekend."
She knew he was the one when "he gave me a copper little box with an engraved message my hand is in your heart." That is soooo sweet!
A magical moment....
It was Christmas Eve and after returning home from Jennifer's brothers house and putting Christopher's son to bed and preparing food for the next day ....
"Chris recommended I lay down and relax while he finished up. I laid down on the couch with the Christmas lights on the tree and nothing else. "I did not notice a beautiful ring box wrapped on the top of the couch. He came in and asked if I wanted to open the first gift. I said yes. He reached up grabbed the box and I immediately sat up and woke up. I asked if that was there the whole time. He laughed and said yes. He opened the box and got down on one knee and the ring box had a light shining on the ring. I felt like I heard angles singing when it opened. I was so excited I did not really let him even get the words out. I was saying yes! I was so excited."
Let the planning begin
Jennifer had heard about us through her maid of honor who's cousin had just gotten a dress with us. I worked with Jennifer myself the day she came in. It was a Sunday appointment and she was the only one in the store which is my favorite way to have an appointment! Jennifer was easy going and relaxed. She knew what she wanted and had been dreaming of this since she was little!
"I had tried another place the day before but felt like I was not their complete focus. At Christina's it was a Sunday morning appointment. I got to meet with Christina. I was the only one in the shop and was given full attention. She had pulled dresses that I had envisioned. They were all so gorgeous. The one I picked brought tears to my eyes. I felt like a princess. Christina even had the lights in the store dim like reception lighting."
When I asked Jennifer about her favorite part of wedding planning she shared that her favorite part was picking out the dress and venue. The least favorite part was the emails and hunting down RSVP's.
Jennifer and Christopher's story continues next week...Until part 2........
