Kate and Jeffrey "met" on OKCupid in May 2013. Kate made the first move by reaching out and sending the first message to Jeffrey. They began to talk and seemed to hit it off! Cupid's arrow strikes again!
iFor there first date, and first time meeting in person, they spent the day in Philadelphia. As Kate approached the corner they had agreed to meet on and saw Jeffrey, she had to laugh to herself. She had come dressed in jean shorts while he was waiting in a suit jacket. She felt quite under dressed.
First they spent some time walking around Rittenhouse Park getting to know each other followed by sushi at Fuji Mountain. They finished off the day at Kate's favorite Philly bar, Dirty Franks.
From their first summer together 'til this day, Kate loves their summer days spent together. Her favorites are times spent at fairs and carnivals on ferris wheels and watching fireworks together. Although, she suspects Jeff has been letting her win at the carnival games.
Proposal in the Poconos
Kate wore a chiffon gown from designer Lilian West. The dress features a full sleeve, illusion back detail, and some of the most gorgeous floral lace. She completes the look with a simple ivory fingertip length veil and babies breath-esque headpiece woven into her beautifully boho braid.
"I honestly was not expecting to find my wedding dress at my first appointment. I'm very picky when it comes to dresses, and I remember have to shop at 10+ stores to find my prom dress in high school. The dress I ended up choosing was the third dress I tried on and I knew right away that it was the one because I started crying."
The Big Day
In proper boho wedding fashion the couple were married outdoors surrounded by some of the most gorgeous scenery. Pictureque vineyards behind them and gorgeous canopy of flowers and greenery above.
The vows were their own and filled with emotion. "We both said that we're going to adopt a lot of pets together, and I had to laugh that we both thought to include that in our vows."
During the first dance Jeff whispered how gorgeous Kate looked in her gown and Kate fought to hold back tears of joy.
From Pinterest to Perfect
Planning that perfectly curated wedding is one thing and often the matter of well crafted Pinterested board. Pulling it off, is another beast entirely.
Kate's favorite part of planning her wedding was the designing her vision. And she did an incredible job! But she knew she would need the perfect team of experts to pull it off.
Onto the Next Adventure
It may not come as a surprise, but as far as the future is concerned, Jess and Kate see a lot of furbabies in the cards. And some human babies someday as well.
They also have a burning desire to travel the world together. This November they are trekking off to Reykjavik, Iceland in hopes to the the Northern Lights!
Samantha and Hunter's wedding was the picture of rustic romance. The Bride and Groom had originally expected a rustic barn wedding, but the venue they fell in love with offered a beautifully historic and romantic feel instead. Not wanting to abandon the rustic inspiration completely, they combined the two themes and it came together beautifully!
The couple were wed at the historic Barristers Club in downtown Allentown, PA. To bring the rustic romantic theme together Samantha kept the color palette soft and romantic using blush tones and neutrals accented with rose gold and greenery. She then, with the help of some crafty family members, incorporated DIY decorations using burlap and wood planks to add the rustic flare.
"We looked at a few locations before the Barristers Club, but ultimately the size and style drove our decision. We wanted a small wedding and the club's ballroom was the perfect size. It also offered the cutest outdoor courtyard."
Samantha wore an Essense of Australia ballgown. The classic sweetheart neckline, full bodied, but light as a cloud, organza skirt, and subtle Moscato color offer a delicate and romantic feel. The lace bodice and belted waistline add the touch of rustic flare Sam loves.
To complete the look the bride adds a stunningly dramatic cathedral length veil, rose gold headband, statement studs, and her grandmother's pearl necklace.
"I was trying so hard not to cry hysterically, but I remember his smile, he looked so happy and with that smile all my nerves just went away."
Bringing it all Together
Weddings don't come together overnight, they take a village. Here are just a few of the MVPs who helped Samantha bring her vision to life:
"My brother, Glenn, and my best friend, Amanda were the real MVPs though. They made sure to follow me around with water and appetizers so that I wouldn't pass out from hunger and dehydration, because let me tell you, it was HOT on that day!"
"It came to like and so much more. We couldn't be happier with the result."
The One Who Almost Got Away
Samantha and Hunter met over ten years ago but they didn't have there first date until 6 years later. After meeting in high school through a mutual friend Hunter joined the Air Force and Samantha went of to college.
"I used to joke and tell my friends in college that he was the one who got away. Little did I know, he'd be the one that I'd have forever"
When they both came back home to Bethlehem there were able to reconnect. He took her out to dinner and they spent the whole night talking and catching up.
Despite having already been talking about marriage, the proposal was a complete surprise. Sam had just graduated with a master's degree and Hunter was preparing for deployment. Samantha was expecting a proposal any time soon. Hunter had different plans.
Hunter surprised her at her graduation party. While Samantha gave a thank you speech to their guests, Hunter waited behind her on bended knee holding the ring.
"It was honestly perfect. We were surrounded by both our families and close friends. It meant so much to me that he wanted everyone involved in the surprise."
What the Future Holds
"Hunter and I are taking it slow. We are saving for our first home, which has its ups and downs. We have talked about having children as I can't wait to be a mom and I know Hunter is going to make an amazing dad. Even though he may be nervous, I see how he is with his nephew and out friends' children and it melts my heart"
Wendy and Isaac's romance began the way many modern day romances do - online. The couple met on OkCupid just weeks after Wendy relocated to Boston to begin graduate school. Wendy made the first move by sending the first message.
Another one of their favorite dates was again Boston-centric - a pizza tour around the city. Combining the couples mutual love of pizza with a fun date day was ideal! The weather, however, was not. The tour fell on the hottest day Boston had seen in years!
Most of the pizza shops were not air conditioned and the hot ovens added insult to injury. But Wendy and Isaac were determined to make the best of the heat by returning to a classic childhood past-time - running to through city fountains to shed the heat of the day.
Along with the memory, the photo taken that day quickly became a favorite. They even recreated it on the wedding day!
As Wendy and Isaac continued to date they found themselves growing together, balancing each other's personalities, and steadily merging their lives together.
"My husband is the total opposite of me - he is the calm to my crazy."
After Wendy graduated with her master's degree Isaac quit his job in Boston to follow her to North Carolina. This gesture was one of the first big moments that made her realize he could be THE ONE.
Forever and for Always
After many years together and a move across many states the couple new they would get married long before the proposal. In fact, Wendy and Isaac designed the ring together months before he popped the question.
"Isaac and I had previously designed my heirloom ring together 6 months prior to the proposal. So I knew the ring was in the house for months - and well, I was a bit pushy about it! I kept asking when he was going to do it!"
But Isaac waited until he could really surprise her. On the day of the proposal Wendy asked to go to an azalea garden in Raleigh. She had asked in hopes that the gardens would inspire him to finally ask. But after spending several hours at the garden, Wendy conceded and accepted that it was not yet the day.
She was wrong. Isaac still managed to surprise her with a proposal she knew was coming for months! Just as she was giving up hope she turned around and there he was down on one knee. "He totally got me!"
A woman nearby witnessed the proposal and rushed over to snap these photos of the moment. "I'm still so grateful for those photos."
"Isaac will tell you that the best part of the proposal day was that we were able to get a day of reservation at our favorite fancy steak restaurant for dinner! And that to celebrate our engagement, the restaurant gave us free champagne and dessert."
"My favorite part of the wedding planning was probably dress shopping!"
"Christina and her staff also helped me style my dress three different ways for my big day. I wore a lace cover up on my shoulders for the ceremony, went strapless for cocktail hour and photos, and then added straps for the reception. If it wasn't for the staff at Christina's I still may be looking for my dress!"
Wendy has a keen eye for color and chose to plan her wedding around a vision of the perfect color palette. The palette she chose was based on fuchsia, orange, and turquoise hues. Knowing the palette was quite bold she made the choice to have her bridesmaids in a blush tone and let the strong colors be featured in the flowers and various accent pieces at the wedding.
The wedding took place on the beach at the Crescent Beach Club in Bayville, NY near the Long Island Sound. Luckily, finding the venue was as easy as it probably could be while planning a wedding long distance. Wendy's parents were able to do the initial scouting and narrow down the selection for the Bride and Groom to be.
"As soon as we saw the views from the Crescent Beach we knew it was the venue!"
Wendy had not originally imagine a beach wedding, but since both Wendy and Isaac share a love of the beach, it just made sense. And while the beach was the location, the couple was not ready to subscribe to the classic laid back beach theme. They planned a formal, elegant affair with a bright beachy vibe to compliment the location.
While planning, Wendy was your typically Pinterest bride with perfectly curated boards and a clear vision.
"Our wedding could not have turned out more perfectly!"
Wendy's florist, Meredith from The Flower Petaler, was a huge part of making Wendy's pinterest perfect vision come together.
Matthew Adam Photography took the stunning photos that really allowed the bride's vision to come to life.
Wedding Day Memories
Here are some of Wendy's very favorite moments from her wedding day:
Isaac and Wendy can't wait to end their house search and settle into the perfect home in Raliegh, NC. They hope to start a family not too long after. Wendy also hopes to be able to travel more in the future "and maybe even a house on the beach? A girl can dream, right?"
"It was the best day of our lives and everything Dave and I could've ever imagined."
Long Distance Love
Katie and David are your classic high school sweethearts. The couple met in their 11th grade study hall and for their first date they went bowling with a group of friends.
Not to long after they began dating they had to face their first big hurtle, the bane of all high school sweethearts - different colleges.
BUT true love can survive the distance! In fact, the difficulty of the distance is what made it ever so clear to Katie that Dave would be the one.
"It was extremely hard at times, but we made it work. Throughout that time I knew for sure he was worth the distance and was the one I wanted to spend my life with."
It's the Little Things
Some of Katie's favorite things about her hubby are his contagious laughter and how caring he is!
For their first date Dave really wanted to take Katie ice skating but Katie pushed for bowling instead. She, however, after David proved quite persistent, eventually gave in.
She was nervous. Dave is extremely athletic and an adept skater. Katie on the other hand, is less coordinated. On the ice she clung to the wall and ended up taking a few spills. A lesser man may have left her to fend for herself, but luckily for Katie, Dave is not that guy. Her beau stayed by her side and guided her around the rink as she held on tight.
"As he saw me struggle, I could see how much he cared for me."
The Apple of My Eye
The Dream Dress
Katie wore a show stopping Fit and Flare lace gown by Allure Bridals in Ivory. The dress features a classic sweetheart neckline, textured lace, and a dramatic tiered lace train all finished off with a scalloped lace hem and an elegant line of fabric buttons down the back.
She completes her look with a fingertip length veil with a lace edge.
"My experience at Christina's Bridal was every bride's dream come true. The staff there is incredible and were always looking out for me and my happiness. I went in with a picture of my dream dress and Christina found it.. it was the third dress I tried on there and was everything I've ever imagined. The selection she had was amazing and she did not give up until she could tell I was 100% satisfied. My mother, mother-in law-, bridesmaids and flower girls also got their dresses at Christina's and I can speak for all 11 of them when I say their experience was equally as amazing as mine. They were all blown away with the customer service we received. Christina truly wants the best for her brides and bridesmaids and that was never unnoticed"
For the bridal party, Katie chose a very romantic hues. The bridesmaids wore chiffon gowns, with a lace bodice to compliment the bridal gown, in Petal Pink and Champagne tones. The men wore stunning Pacific Blue suits allowing them to have their own statement fashion piece. Together the attire created the perfect romantic spring pallet!
Joy Supinski provided the perfect florals and bouquets to compliment the wedding party.
"I really wanted them all to have different dresses, but they all really liked the same one, so we decided on that. Christina recommended to choose two different colors to get that variation she could tell I really wanted. It all came together and looks amazing in the pictures."
The Wedding Day
The ceremony was held at Our Lady of Perpetual Help with a reception to follow at the Stroudsmoor Country Inn.
"We went up to Stroudsmoor to see their venues and instantly fell in love with the one we chose, Lawnhaven. It has an amazing outdoor space leading into the beautiful dining space inside."
Swoon Alert!: For their vows the couple chose to exchange short simple vows during the ceremony for fear that they may screw up in front of all their family and friends. However, the two included detailed vows in letters to each other the morning of the wedding. What a wonderful way to share something so intimate without the pressure of a huge crowd!
On the first dance: "It was a time filled with so much love - while everyone was watching, it felt like it was just Dave and I."
"It was the best day of our lives and everything Dave and I could've ever imagined. There is nothing better than seeing your friends and family truly enjoy themselves, with the love of your life by your side."
Vendor Shoutout!: The stunning photography was provided by Jeffrey Sabotta with Sabotta Imagery. "He captured the most AMAZING pictures!" Music and entertainment were provided by DJ Mick Uranko with Uranko Productions. "He kept the dance floor alive all night and everyone had a great time."
"Every since college, we dreamed of having a big family after the wedding. We are hoping to make that dream a reality soon! Somewhere in the next couple years we hope to travel to Italy since Dave is Italian. We both have grandparents who have been married for 60+ years, and pray we can be just like them - spending our who lives together and still seeing joy and happiness in each others eyes after all that time."

Can't wait to see you there!
Tobi and Nate have known each other for most of their lives. In fact, they first met while waiting for the bus in the 6th grade, and in the 8th grade they went on their first date to see a movie. Fast forward a few more years and they are now living out their happily ever after!
When it finally came time to propose Nate knew exactly where to do it! He took Tobi to her very favorite place, New York City. It was holiday time, so naturally they were headed to the ice rink at Rockefeller Center. How romantic!
Tobi was very excited about getting to experience the iconic holiday season destination in her favorite city.
While on the ice they witnessed two other couples got engaged, but it hadn't occurred to her that they may be there for the very same reason. "I was so oblivious!" Tobi remembers.
Nate wore bright orange gloves so that he could signal to their parents, waiting and watching from above, when he was going to take out the ring. This was another shock to Tobi as she did not know they were in the city.
"So surreal and crazy; beautiful night!"
Tobi wore a stunning lace gown, in ivory, from designer, Stella York. The gown features a fit and flare silhouette with a chapel length train and classic sweetheart neckline. Vintage inspired lace with a vertical pattern and scalloped edge lays atop luxurious dolce satin giving the gown a beautiful elegance.
"Christina and her staff are awesome and so easy to work with. Very accommodating for such a special time in people's lives!"
Tobi completed her look with a fingertip veil featuring scalloped lace trim to compliment her gown and an elegant drop earring.
Her bridal party wore floor length gowns from the Sorella Vita's Soft Luxe line in garnet. Tobi's chose blush and gold tones to compliment the deep burgundy bring her vision of autumn elegance to life.
Tobi's gorgeous hair and makeup was provided by Alisha Nycole & Co.
The ceremony and reception were held at the The Historic Hotel Bethlehem. After visiting he couple didn't need to tour any other venues, their decision had been made. "I didn't look anywhere else, I just HAD to have it there it was PERFECT." Hotel Bethlehem was able to provide the perfect "city elegant vibe" Tobi had been dreaming of.
Tobi and Nate's long history and connection really showed through in the ceremony. Tobi recalls walking done the aisle feeling "So at ease! It was beautiful." When it came time for the vows Tobi said, "... we wrote our vows, and it's funny because we basically said the same things!"
When I hear about the weddings of our brides my favorites parts are the tidbits like this. Even without being in attendance you can really tell the connection these two have. When asked when she knew he would be the one Tobi said "Always kind of knew (sounds cliche but true!)". So it comes as no surprise to me that they knew exactly what was in each other's hearts when it came time to write their vows. They have been in love for so long and are obviously so connected in the most beautiful way!
After the ceremony it was time for photos! The photos were one of Tobi's very favorite parts! And, oh my gosh, the photos are absolutely stunning! Dearly Beloved Weddings, based out of Bethlehem, PA provided the incredible photography for the event.
After the fun with photos, it was on to Tobi's other favorite part of her wedding day - dancing!
The First Dance was danced to Perfect by Ed Sheeran. "I was very emotional, especially when your man is singing the song to you during the dance!"
Following the First Dance with her new hubby, Tobi and her dad had a surprise for everyone. When it came time for their father daughter dance it started out slow and suddenly switched to and upbeat dance mix beginning with Beyoncé’s Run the World (Girls). Sharing a lively, fun dance with his daughter was something Tobi's father had always wanted dreamed of. What a special memory to share!
At the end of the day Tobi and Nate's wedding went off without a hitch. "Everything was perfect, literally nothing went wrong." Tobi says.
Tobi very much admires her husband'd humor and passion. She also loves to go on adventures together!
This could be anything from traveling the world, to visiting a rooftop bar in a buzzing city, or going to a concert. No matter where they are or what they are doing, these have come to be Tobi's favorite moments and memories with Nate,
Going forward, continuing to travel is high up on the bucket list! They also see kids in their future but not quite yet. In the mean time Tobi and Nate look forward to growing together and challenging each other every day to be the best they can be.
Where It All Began
Lauren met Jeff while she was attending college at Marywood University in Scranton, PA. She first noticed Jeff through a crowded bar with his best friend and best man, Kevin. The two struck up a conversation “and the rest, as they say, is history!”
The two made plans for a coffee date at the local Starbucks. Jeff was nervous since he was coming from work and felt a little under dressed but Kevin encouraged him to worry about it and go anyway.
The day Lauren was sure Jeff would be the one they had spent the day in Philadelphia before going to a Phillies game. The weather was terrible and the couple ended up getting drenched as they explored the city! Despite the uncooperative weather, the day was still incredibly fun and memorable.
Lauren loves and admires Jeff's patience, and clearly it left an impression on Lauren that day. When you are with your soul mate, the stresses of the outside world have a way of just falling away.
Many proposals are a surprise, but few are as elaborately planned and well executed as when Jeff asked Lauren to be his wife.
It was Easter weekend 2016 and as far as Lauren was concerned, the day would be like any other Saturday. She expected to spend the day with Jeff in Scranton running errands and relaxing before the Holiday. Jeff would have to go in for a short shit at work and since Lauren didn't expect anything eventful to happen in the early part of the day, she decided to delay showering and doing her makeup.
Before Jeff had to go in he asked Lauren to come along on an errand to pick up some Easter cupcakes. As soon as Lauren got into the car she learned the trip was not about cupcakes at all! Jeff handed her a photo album that contained clues to various locations in the Scranton area that held special meaning for the couple. Her instructions were to read the clues, drive to the locations, and take a selfie at each destination.
Before the final stop, Jeff told Lauren that she would need to close her eyes for the last bit of the drive and the final location would be where she would find her Easter basket. Now it was getting real, Lauren knew something was afoot!
The last stop took our love birds to Nay Aug Park in Scranton. Jeff lead Lauren, eyes still closed, to the pavilion. He proceeded to get down on one knee and when she opened her eyes she saw him kneeling next to the highly anticipated Easter Basket.
Inside the basket she saw a ring and two Eagle’s shirts each with something written on the back. One read “Marry Me?” and the other read “Pusateri”, Jeff’s last name.
The shock and excitement left Lauren shaking as she eagerly agreed!
A moment later she saw Jeff's brother and sister-in-law come out of hiding after capturing the moment on camera. Now Lauren rarely leaves the house without a shower and makeup! With a man like Jeff, who knows when the next time a simple errand will turn into a surprise of a lifetime!
For Lauren, the most fun part of planning a wedding was how glamorous it made her feel!
She loved getting all dolled up like a celebrity at her hair and makeup trials and trying on wedding dresses in every style to figure out what she liked best.
When it came time to shop for her gown, Lauren had to visit the shop she had passed by so many times while driving around her hometown of Easton; Christina's Bridal. Her first visit was to a sample sale in 2016. While she didn’t end up leaving that day with a sale gown, she did end up trying on the gown that would ultimately end up being her bridal gown.
Lauren, like many, probably thought the finding the gown couldn’t possibly be so easy that she would find such a perfect dress on the first try. But in fact, it was, and after a couple more visits she couldn’t deny that the gown she had fallen in love with months earlier had always been the one.
Lauren chose a beautiful sheath-shaped lace gown in Ivory by Stella York. The neckline and back of the gown feature gorgeous illusion lace taking this style . The lace features a subtle sparkle woven into the lace allows the gown, and bride, to shimmer with every movement.
“I am so thankful for an overall flawless experience with Christina’s to make a crucial part of the wedding planning process fun and memorable. I now pass their information on to everyone I know!”
A Walk Down Memory Lane
Nuptials were exchanged at St. Jane's Church in Easton, PA. Lauren and Jeff did not share a "first look" and instead opted to keep in traditional and see each other for the first time as Lauren walked down the aisle. The couple surprised themselves that they kept it together and didn't cry!
After the ceremony, the bridal party and wedding guests rode a trolley from the ceremony location to Riverview Country Club for the reception.
When planning, the couple wanted to take into consideration that the logistics of a wedding day can not only be stressful for the wedding party, but also the guests. Using Bucks County Trolley Company made that aspect of the day stress-free for everyone!
Choosing Riverview Country Club as the recepetion location held special meaning to Lauren. The country club offers stunning views of Forks Township, PA where Lauren grew up. Weddings are very much a rite of passage in a person’s life and it must have been so special to weave in some beautiful memories or all the people and places that brought her here.
The reception venue is not where the memories and nostalgia end. The couple wanted to make a point to share their story and memories with their guests. Jeff came up with an idea that would really involve their closest friends and family in the couple's journey to this point. He suggested that each table be named for a special location that was near and dear to their hearts and told a piece of their love story. They included photos of themselves taken at each location. This way the wedding guests could accompany them down Memory Lane for the day.
Lauren also wore something that was very special to her and Jeff. She wore a pearl bracelet given to her by Jeff at her college graduation. This served as one of her something old items along with lace trimmed from her mother's dress wrapped around her bouquet.
Finally, just by coincidence, Lauren chose nearly the exact same color for her bridal party as her mom did at her own wedding in the 80s. Lauren went with a coral tone, one of her favorite colors and perfect for a summer wedding. Her mom opted for a peach tone.“I guess great minds think alike and many styles and colors come back in style! (minus the poofy sleeves!)”
In the end, the wedding came together just as the couple planned, as an extension of their personalities. Lauren remembers being stressed about the weather leading up to the big day, but once she knew skies would be clear she was able to relax and enjoy the day to the fullest.
Planning a wedding can be stressful, and it takes a village! Lauren was particularly grateful for the top notch team of vendors she worked with.
Her hair and makeup was done by Alisha Nycole and Co. Lauren said "Alisha allows you to look like the best version of yourself and never looking like you had too much makeup on."
Sarah with Allium Florals who Lauren describes as "another rockstar", provided the flowers. She even surprised Lauren on the day of her wedding having been able to get in Forget Me Knots for the bridal bouquet, a flower they had previously thought would not be available!
The beautiful photography was provided by Bryan Shattuck - Icarus Image. Lauren really appreciated the time and care Bryan took with there photos, starting with their engagement shoot.
After the wedding the couple honeymooned in Charleston, SC and since Jeff does not care to fly, the two kicked off their first adventure as a married couple with a 15 hour car ride. She says "The trip was worth the drive!"
Exuberance is the first word that comes to mind when I think of this month's real bride, Mallorie. She is just one of those people that can just light up a room! She seems to lift the spirits of everyone she comes in contact with. While I have not met Josh, he must be quite a guy himself to earn the affection of such a lovely lady!
First Comes Love
Let’s rewind and start at the beginning. Mallorie and Josh first met in High School, however the two did not start dating until years later. They ended up reconnected on Facebook and the rest is history. After a first date full of conversation, without even one awkward silence, Mallorie knew he’d be the one!
Mallorie admires Josh’s patience, especially in his profession as a school Teacher, and how loving and caring he is. When she was asked what the best date they’d been on had been (proposal excluded) she responded with “All of the time we spend together is very special, so it’s hard to pick just one time.”
My heart just skipped a beat, what a beautiful outlook!
Then Comes Marriage
February 5th 2016: Mallorie and Josh have a dinner date at Pearly Bakers Ale House in Easton… or so Mallorie thinks. When Josh set the plans Mallorie knew something must be up! Josh is not typically the planning type. But she didn’t read too much into it, and instead went with the flow.
When the 5th arrived Mallorie hadn’t eaten much throughout the day and Josh had gotten stuck at work late. He wouldn’t make it home until 30 minutes after they were meant to arrive at the restaurant. By the time they got on the road Mallorie was beginning to feel hangry. When Josh insisted they park near the Bank Street Alley, blocks from the restaurant located in the Center Square, and walk the rest of the way, Mallorie thought he had lost his mind! It would be a hike to their destination and it was the middle of winter! Despite Mallorie questioning his sanity, Josh was adament and stuck to his guns.
They began their walk down Bank Street Alley. Mallorie noticed Josh had stopped and tried to hurry him along. As she encouraged him to pick up the pace he started to speak: “Last weekend was the best birthday ever, but the only thing missing was you being my wife.” He then got down on one knee and asked her to be his wife.
Mallorie, caught off guard, eagerly agreed through joyful tears. At that moment a couple celebrating their 40th wedding anniversary walked past. Touched by what they had just witness they asked the newly engaged couple if they could take a photo.
The surprises weren’t over yet! The dinner reservation wasn’t at Pearly Bakers at all. Instead Josh took Mallorie to Colonial Pizza & Spaghetti House just a few blocks away from the decoy restaurant. When they arrived both of their families were waiting to celebrate with them. “I was so excited I barely ended up eating anything there” Mallorie recalls.
Hitting the Ground Running
Mallorie is a self-described “type A bride” and found a lot of fun and enjoyment mapping out all the details of the special day. From crafting the vintage glam theme, to finding the perfect attire for the wedding party, to having all her vendors booked well in advance, Mallorie was loving every minute of it!
She chose a turquoise blue to be the base of her color pallet with gold and champagne tones to compliment. The bridesmaids wore satin Sorella Vita gowns in Tahiti blue and their style of their choice. The men wore 3-piece tuxes in gray with matching turquoise ties. Josh opted for a dapper charcoal bow tie to complete his wedding day attire.
Finding the Dress
Finding the dress was a lot easier than Mallorie expected! Fresh off of her new engagement she noticed a sign outside of Christina’s Bridal advertising a Sophia Tolli Trunk Show. She was already familiar with Christina’s since her Sister-In-Law had found her gown with us, and Sophia Tolli was the designer she had had her eye on. She wasted no time and set up an appointment for the very next day.
She anticipated she would try a few on gowns, get her feet wet, and leave with a better idea of what she liked. Much to her surprise she fell in love with the very first gown she was in!
*Spoiler, Ladies!*: This happens WAY more often than you might think. Finding your wedding gown can be likened to finding your fiancé. More often than not, you will fall in love with a gown when you least expect it!
Mallorie chose an Ivory Taffeta gown with a Fit and Flare silhouette. The dress features a lace up corset closure and a timeless sweetheart neckline. The details on this gown are exquisite! The neckline boasts gorgeous crystal beading work. The ruched bodice flows into a lavish pleated skirt complete with crystal beaded flourishes. The gown finishes in the back with the same crystal bead work and a classic chapel length train. To complete the look Mallorie chose to accessorize with a simple fingertip length veil, statement drop earrings, a feather hairpiece, and crystal shoes fit for a princess!
Going to the Chapel
The Bride and Groom exchanged vows at Saint Philip and Saint James Catholic Church just over the bridge in Phillipsburg, NJ. The couple opted not to share a first look and kept it traditional with Josh getting his first glance of his bushing bride as she made her way down the aisle. Mallorie was nervous she wouldn’t be able to keep herself from “ugly crying” during the ceremony. She ended avoiding the blubbering saying “it was just such a happy moment!”
The reception to follow was held at the Bank Street Annex. Sound Familiar? That's because it is located right next to the proposal spot! The couple wanted to keep the wedding local in Easton. On the way to the reception the couple with photographer, Sam Rodriguez – SR Wedding Story in toe, stopped to take photos in the very same alley that Josh had proposed almost 18 prior.
Admittedly, these are some of my favorite photos from the wedding. You can really see the beautiful bond this couple shares in these photos.
There was only about an hour between the ceremony and cocktail hour which didn’t leave a ton of time for pictures with the wedding party. But that was okay, our newlyweds were eager to get some food in them and start the celebration!
Mallorie and Josh shared a little magical moment during their first dance. For them the first dance was the point where they felt like “we did it, we are here!”.
After a couple very special and emotional dances with the parents it was time to let their hair down and get the party started!
You can tell, even just from the photos, what a fun time it was! Mallorie's guest were ready to party and DJ, Adam (AC DJs) kept the dance floor packed the entire night!
Happily Ever After
The wedding turned out to be everything the couple hoped it would be. "Everyone still talks about how much fun of a wedding it was."
High School sweethearts, a proposal on the beach, and a fairytale wedding… sounds divine! Read about how this came to be Marissa and Jared’s love story.
Marissa and Jared met as teenagers at the home of a mutual friend, Karissa. The couple spent their first date at an annual community event, Palmer Days. “…classic hangout before we went back to school. That’s where we held hands for the first time and had our first kiss. Swoon!”
Fast forward to 2018, Marissa and Jared are happily married and Karissa served as the Maid of Honor in the wedding! After 15 years of friendship, and being responsible for bringing the bride and groom together, I’d say the honor sounds well deserved!
Best Day Ever
After 12 years of devotion Jared popped the question in an incredibly romantic way. I'll let Marissa tell the story:
“Complete shock and surprise, absolute ugly crying, and the best day of my life! We had just spent 9+ hours, in the car, en route from Pennsylvania to the Outer Banks, North Carolina. Needless to say, I looked a mess in yoga pants, a sweatshirt and pony tail. However, that’s just how Jared wanted it to be. The real me. We were supposed to go for a walk on the beach because it was my first trip to OBX. I couldn’t have been more impatient and kept asking Jared to take me on a walk. Finally, it was time for that walk. I filled up our cups with a drink to take with us. We headed out the back door and the rest almost feels like a blur. We walked from the pool deck, down the wooden walkway to the sand dune. We got to the top of the sand dune and I’m asking which way to walk. Jared was there before so I wanted him to decide the way we went. Next thing I know he’s saying my name...I turn around and he’s on one knee. Instant water works and ugly crying!!! Jared asked me to marry him and I said of course yes! I remember being in complete shock but the happiest girl in the world at the same time! BEST. DAY. EVER.”
Finding the Gown
Marissa was introduced to Christina’s as a bridesmaid in 2016. When it was her turn to find her dream gown, she knew exactly where she wanted to go!
For her big day, Marissa chose an ivory strapless gown with a fit and flare “mermaid” silhouette. The dress features a fully beaded bodice, belted at the waist, with a voluminous tulle skirt and cathedral length train. She decided on a single layer veil with a scalloped beaded trim to mirror the beading detail on the gown. To compliment, she wears matching scalloped crystal headpiece, necklace, and bracelet. Finally, she completes her look with a sentimental accessory; an heirloom ring.
“I could not have made a more perfect decision when I said YES to the most beautiful Essense of Australia dress at Christina's Bridal! I knew from the moment I put it on, this was MY dress, as it fit perfectly. On our wedding day I received so many compliments about the beading on the bodice, glimmering belt, and princess-worthy train”
On Saturday October 7th, 2017, Marissa and Jared gathered with friends and family for an outdoor ceremony at the Riverview Country Club in Easton, PA.
When it came time to exchange I Dos, Marissa couldn’t help but get a little weak in the knees. “The nerves and emotions kicked in hard! He was standing at the alter looking so handsome and all I wanted to do was melt.” Vows were exchanged through tears of joy and our love birds were officially wed!
After the ceremony photographer, Lauren Fletcher, whisked the couple away for a photo interlude with the wedding party, to capture the treasured memories of their special day.
Jared, was tasked with choosing the colors for the event, which would set the tone for the day. He chose a gorgeous deep forest green as the foundation of a beautiful fall color palette. Shades of gold and cream were chosen as accents to complete the romantic feel the couple was looking for.
Of all the memories made, among Marissa’s favorite moments were the first dances. She and Jared shared theirs to Heaven by Jason Aldean. She recalls all the first dances as being “Filled with emotion and tears of pure joy.”
After dancing the night away, celebrating their love, Marissa and Jared took off on their honeymoon to Aruba for a little rest and relaxation. The two already can’t wait to go back!
“It was everything I dreamed of and more.”

On July 23, 2016, Trista said yes to her dress! Today we'll get into the details of that experience! We loved seeing how the look came together on her wedding day!
How did you find out about Christina's Bridal?
"I was looking for a small local shop that could help me choose between the thousands of gorgeous wedding gowns available. Christina's has a good reputation and selection so I thought I would give it a try."
Tell me about your experience with Christina's Bridal?
"Christina's was excellent! They called before my appointment to ask what types of dress I was looking for so they could pull a few before hand. They were really interested in finding me the right gown for me. My stylist actually had my wedding gown in the dressing room when I arrived based just on my phone call with her and it ended up being "the Dress".
Share any other details of what it was like to complete your wedding look:
"I purchased my hair piece at my first appointment with Christina's. It was gorgeous and I knew whatever my overall look ended up being, it would be a great addition. During my fitting, they helped me pick a back drop necklace and a veil (which I never even considered before). Their feedback was honest and I felt I could trust them with their opinions on what looked best for me."
So, tell me more about that, what was your favorite and least favorite part of planning your wedding day:
"Favorite part: Cake tasting! Who doesn't love cake? I had just been MoH in two of my friends weddings the previous year so much of the "to do" list was ingrained in my brain making the process run fairly smooth. Least favorite: coordinating everything myself and making the seating charts. There was so much to the logistics and time lines I had never imagined. Trying to figure out how to get people from one place to another and what time for everything was hectic."
Where did you get married?:
We got married at Holy Ghost Parish in Bethlehem, took photos at Lehigh University, and had our reception at GreenPond Country Club.
How did you choose the location and how did that play into the overall feel of your wedding?:
The church we chose is spectacular inside. I loved the grandeur of it and the fact I didn't need to add any decor to the space. This made the wedding a little more formal than I had been planning but it worked out wonderfully.
We would love to hear any other details you would like to share about your overall vision for your wedding:
"I really wanted to keep things simple and pretty. My mom helped me with so much including the centerpieces we made ourselves and the homemade cookies for the cookie table. I wanted everyone to feel welcome and comfortable."
How was the first dance, not just with you and your man, but any other family moments?:
"We had learned a box step off of YouTube for our first dance, just so we had some idea what to do with our feet! It turned out pretty good but my favorite part of the night was the dance we did for my parents. June 3 is also their wedding anniversary so we planned with the DJ to call them to the dance floor and play their first dance song. My parents had no idea we were planning this and were so surprised. We joined my parents on the dance floor after a few moments and it was just such a nice way to acknowledge all that they have done and the example they set with their marriage."
Don’t hold back, now is your chance to tell me about any other moments on your wedding day that will live in your heart forever:
"The week of our wedding, we had family came in from the Philippines. I had never met them before so we all went out for dinner to celebrate and get to know one another. It was so nice to get to spend this time with my new family. We had friends come from all over the country, and it meant so much that they could be with us on our special day."
